The 2009 Ford Mustang
Pony car lovers have a few reasons to pleased with the new model year around the corner. However, the new 2009 Ford Mustang is mainly a rehash of last year’s options, with a few additional options thrown into the mix. A few other options are now gauge on all Mustangs; however, fans will be somewhat saddened in the 45th Anniversary Edition ‘Stang. What does the new exemplar year hold for this staple of the muscle car divide and the most popular sports can in the US?
The new Mustang sees nothing new under the hood. The apparatus options and transmission pairings be there the same from last year. The V6 is a 4.0-liter with a 5-speed instructions or optional 5-speed automatic (sorry, no 6-speeds!), that produces 210 horsepower in a SOHC frame. The GT and convertible are still available with the 300 horsepower V8. This 4.6-liter apparatus is also paired with the same 5-speed stick or 5-speed automatic transmissions.
So what is new for the 45th Anniversary Copy? Other than the inclusion of many previous options as guideline fare, the glass roof is the only item new. As an enhancement, it’s a fantastic present, specifically geared towards the sports car trade in segment. However, it does not provide any display enhancements, so diehard Pony fans may be formerly larboard out in the cold (wait until 2010, folks!).
The opera-glasses roof brings the Mustang up to three roof options, hardtop, convertible and drinking-glass. However, for folks not interested in the new roof, there are some additional enhancements in the devise of upgraded standard appointments.
Sirius Transistor, satin aluminum panel condition, ambient lighting modes, upgraded interiors and other options are now paragon for both V6 and GT varieties. The GT also has a new security packages with locking neighbourhood lugs and a new paint color. Handy HID headlights, 18-inch wheels on the V6, a customizable appliance panel and enhanced safety apparatus round out the offerings on the 2009 Mustang.
In joining, the “Warriors in Pink” knocker cancer package will still be available. This includes a pink ribbon on the band, pink rocker tape, pink stitching in the leather seats and steering spin, as well as several other exclusive features. Each Mustang sold with the incorporate will grant $500 to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure-all Foundation.
No matter how you cut it, it seems like the new Mustang is not unequivocally what consumers expected from an anniversary issue, but it still finds a place in the heart.
