Headlight knob came off in my hand
Expressly like the title says. 97 Wrangler. Headlight boss came straight out in my hand.

After tearing my dash apart and breaking more artificial bits than I'd have liked to have, I got the dash and firewall excepting enough for me to get my hands in there to feel around the headlight reversal.
The switch appears to be welded onto tabs protruding from the firewall. Wonderful. How do I displace the switch so I can try to fix it?
Once I get the switch removed, how do I keep the boss seated therein? I've noticed a little well-spring-loaded pin at the top of the switch unit. Portentous this does nothing.
Needing headlights and needing them advantageously now, I pulled the plastic contact course off the bottom of the switch and probed around with a wire until I got headlights. After contemporary through numerous combinations of pin jumps, I managed to find the headlights, split, dome, door buzzer and jovial bar lights. However, I cannot figure out which pins to rift to get the running lights. Any ideas?
