Headlight knob came off in my hand
Closely like the title says. 97 Wrangler. Headlight protrusion came straight out in my hand.

After tearing my dash apart and breaking more manageable bits than I'd have liked to have, I got the dash and firewall to one side enough for me to get my hands in there to feel around the headlight deviate.
The switch appears to be welded onto tabs protruding from the firewall. Wonderful. How do I fire the switch so I can try to fix it?
Once I get the switch removed, how do I keep the protrusion seated therein? I've noticed a little appear-loaded pin at the top of the switch unit. Critical this does nothing.
Needing headlights and needing them veracious now, I pulled the plastic contact plate off the bottom of the change and probed around with a wire until I got headlights. After accepted through numerous combinations of pin jumps, I managed to find the headlights, crash, dome, door buzzer and dawn bar lights. However, I cannot figure out which pins to reprimand to get the running lights. Any ideas?
